Since Latané and Broun’s wedding day didn’t allow for many portraits of the bride and groom, Lat scheduled a session with me for a few weeks after their big day.

I was super excited to get to go back to the venue and take my time photographing these two fabulous people… Of course, stuff happens, and we ended up only have thirty minutes to shoot. But we made it work. I’m pretty excited with the way these turned out. The Texas light was wonderful, as always, and no rain this time!

I split the session into two parts because there’s two very different vibes going on. This is part two! Go here to see the first part.

I don’t usually do families but I’m so happy Trisha contacted me! She found me through Mandy and Leighton (whose wedding I recently photographed). She wanted me to snap a few of their entire family but the shoot was primarily of their two year old soon, Luke.

I’ll let the photos speak for themselves but I gotta say this at least once.. Luke is PRECIOUS!!! Trisha, if you ever need a babysitter, I’m all yours!

So I’ve been wanting to do this photo series for awhile now and I have some time in December and January so I’m ready to tell you all about it!

It involves you and these:

I know, I know.. animal masks? But I have a vision behind it, promise. Anyone who wants to participate is welcome.. the more the merrier. I’ll mainly be shooting in and around my house down south but I might even venture out and come to you.

If you’d like to participate, here are the requirements:

1. You have to give up about half an hour of your life.
2. You have to throw FIVE DOLLARS my way… Animal masks cost money, after all.
3. You have to be awesome.

In exchange for your FIVE DOLLARS and half an hour of your time, I’ll take your photo in an animal mask and I’ll also snap a few of you mask-less. And I’ll give you 5 photos. Pretty good deal, I’d say.

You might remember Mandy and Leighton from their engagement shoot, which you can see here and here. I couldn’t wait to finally shoot their wedding a few weeks ago. Mandy looked beautiful and Leighton couldn’t stop grinning.. needless to say, it was a wonderful day. Big thanks to Jamie for second shooting with me!

A few weeks ago, I got to photograph my dear friend Latané’s wedding at Nature’s Point here in Austin. Unfortunately, the weather took a turn for the worst so we were a bit limited when it came to portraits. But the wedding itself was absolute magic. The details, the ceremony, the love… perfection. I had an absolute blast getting to see old faces and watching Latané and Broun dance the night away with their friends and family.

Also, before the wedding day, Latané told me that timing would be pretty tight so we completely cut any bride and groom portraits. But don’t worry.. we’re going to do a portrait session as soon as Latané’s dress gets all cleaned up. I can’t wait!
