So this week I was supposed to have 5 shoots. So far 3/5 have cancelled. But the lovely Kristen braved the weather for some senior portraits. Kristen has been riding horses for about 9 years so we met out at the stables where she keeps her horse Carrots.
It was definitely a different location for me but it turned out great! Enjoy.
Last week I had yet another senior portrait session with Lizzy from Austin High. This girl brought a ton of sweet props and had a very unique style. She was super sweet and could not stop smiling (unless I told her not to). Thanks Lizzy for being so much fun!
One of the props Lizzy brought was her grandma’s old sewing machine. I had her bring some of the clothing she’s sewn and we did some experimenting in a random little forest.
Lizzy also brought this amazing vintage pink dress so I had to bust out my Andy Warhol book.
Alright so I got antsy and decided to not leave you all in suspense from the last post.. I know, I know.. I’m super awesome.

Yesterday a good friend from back home got married and I got to photograph it! Janise and Chris got married at the Houstonian Hotel in (duh) Houston, TX. The weather cleared up after the craziness on Saturday so their plan to get married on the lawn worked out. And it was absolutely beautifuuuuul.
But before I post ceremony and portrait photos, I wanted to post some sweet ring pics! These are definitely the best I’ve ever done and I’m so stoked to show them off!

Today I drove around town with Lane to shoot her senior portraits. When i originally met this girl, she told me I could do anything I wanted for her pictures.. which, of course, excited me.
Lane came in this sweet colorful dress that looked so fun in all of her pictures. And, as promised, she was literally down for anything. I had a blast with this girl!
Unfortunately I am dead tired from the weekend so Lane’s pictures will have to come in parts.. which I guess isn’t too unusual for me. Here are a few from the urban portion of her shoot.

So as some of you might have seen, I posted a blog about a promo I’m running in the middle of May for some cheaper portrait sessions.
Within 20 minutes of posting it, I had 3 out of 5 sessions booked! Woohoo! And I just booked my final session today! So while it’s sad news for you it’s good news for me.
A big thanks to the four girls and one guy who booked portraits in my first trial run of Urban Portrait Madness! Check back after May 14 for photos from their sessions.
If all goes well, I’ll be doing these promos about once a month in various locations.. I’m thinking June’s will be “Field Portrait Madness.” What can I say.. I have a thing for fields..

How do I book a session?
Email me at paige@paigenewtonphotography.com or leave a comment w/ your name, number, email, and the date and time you prefer.
Where can my location be?
Anywhere in downtown Austin. I only have 30 minutes between shoots so I need to be able to get to where I’m going on time. Your location can be South Congress, South Lamar, South 1st, Warehouse District, etc. We can walk around within the areas as much as you want within that hour.
What do you mean by unlimited looks?
You can change your clothes as many times as you want. Just remember you only have a hour!
What all do I get for my $50?
Your hour session and a 20-30 edited high-res files to print, share, tag, and do anything you want with.. but you can’t sell ‘em!
When do I pay you?
You must pay the entire $50 (cash or check) when you show up for your session. Please do not bail on me. It would not be cool.

emmalee was so cute.. she brought bubbles! unfortunately, there was some unexpected wind so it was tough getting the bubbles to go where we wanted them to..
i’ve been wanting to shoot a little scenario like this for awhile so i was super pumped when emmalee agreed. thanks to jamie for letting me borrow the chair, record player, and lamp. and another thanks to my lovely boyfriend for providing the table and records.
