I’ve been contemplating if this is something I should simply Tweet about or if it was worth a blog.. But I decided why not be slightly obnoxious and proud of myself every so often, right?
Just wanted to share some of the blogs that Rachel & Andrew’s Wedding Faux-tography Session has been featured on. I feel incredibly honored to be on these blogs.. especially because Rachel & Andrew are so near and dear to my heart.
Love & Lavender: LOVE these ladies! Definitely check out their blog.

Austin Style Unveiled:I ADORE Heather from Style Unveiled.. Such a sweet lady. Austin recently got added to the select cities Style Unveiled features.. Check it out!

Classic Bride:

Forget Me Knot Weddings: -
The Knotty Bride:- This one is super cool because I was featured in the same post as one of my favorite wedding photographers Amelia Lyon.

Anyway- Thanks to all of the above blogs for being so kind and featuring my work!

Excuse me while I brag for a bit.. David has put music on hold for the month of February and has moved to another form of artist expression.. cinema! He’s starring in an independent film called All The Same Things.
This is a movie about Dallas, music, and desire. It’s based on the idea that ‘Love ceases to be a demon only when he ceases to be a god.’ I’m not going to give anything away but just know that David will still be displaying his incredible music talent. Keep your eyes peeled for the release sometime this summer!
A few weeks ago, I went to Dallas to shoot some behind the scenes photos.. It was truly amazing to get to see David act.. I’m super proud of him! This whole crew has done an amazing job and I literally cannot wait to see the final product. I’ve never done a shoot like this but I’m happy with the way they turned out.. I’d love to hear what you think.

This is very, VERY important. I need you go to the following link and download some epic music from here.
I’m no music critic but if I MUST give you a reason… here are a few. I’m not asking you to do this because the musician who penned these tunes happens to be the love of my life. Nope.. that’s actually not why. Okay.. maybe a little. But really and truly, I have been listening to David Ramirez’s music on a consistent basis since before he and I were really even friends. So I can say, with an unbiased confidence, that his music has evolved into something that is both relatable and magical, honest yet mysterious, and both lyrically and musically driven. It’s folk but by no means is it a simple acoustic album.
An incredible team of Nashville musicians recorded with David and an amazing producer helped “American Soil” become exactly what it should. The first time David showed me some of the rough recordings, I was blown away by the depth and creativity that ebbed and flowed throughout.
This is the album of the year for me and I can assure you, I’ve had to listen to it non-stop since the project began. There are layers upon layers of absolute magic that call for you to drive across the country, or at least around your town while the sun sets and your windows are down.
This album is not only for driving but for living. I hope you take the time to visit the link and download the songs to get a feel for the upcoming album, which will be released in June.
Cheers.

Today marks the third year that David and I have been dating. It’s been a long and wild ride.. we started dating when he lived in Dallas and I lived in Austin, then he moved to Nashville, then I moved to San Diego, then I came home and he went on the road… And let me tell you, kids… Long distance is rough! But we made it through and now we both live in Austin. Yay!
Words cannot express how much I love my boy. He’s an incredible individual, a talented musician, and a loving boyfriend. Not a day goes by that I don’t question what I did to deserve such a generous, patient, attractive, hilarious guy. I’ll stop there so you can keep your dinner down, but let’s just say I’m absolutely the luckiest girl on the block.
I had to work tonight so we celebrated all day yesterday. The day started when David woke me up with doughnuts and kolaches. Yum. Then he told me to come over to his house in “any black dress” about an hour later.
(Author’s Note: Don’t start getting too excited. This is not an engagement story you wedding-crazed people.)
So I showed up to find David dressed up with three roses and a beautiful letter. Then he told me to bust my camera out for a photo shoot. Woohoo! He knows how much I looove taking pictures and we don’t get to take many besides this kind:

He was so precious.. He had even gotten a white sheet to hang up on his wall and everything. I loooove this boy. P.S. Check out his amazing music– www.davidramirezmusic.com.
Anyway, here are a few favorites from the shoot.

Last weekend, some of our friends came in from Nashville. David and I took them down to South Congress to show them some uniquely Austin spots.
I snapped a few shots and since I have so very few portraits of boys, I decided I should post them.
Enjoy!
