Denise and her family came out to my parent’s lake house about a month ago to take some family/maternity portraits. The boys were an absolute hoot and kept me on my toes for sure. I don’t normally take family portraits but I can see why other photographers love it.. it’s super entertaining. Enjoy!

After we wrapped the shoot, we let the boys run wild in the sprinklers.. it was pretty hilarious.

Amy contacted me after one of her friends saw one of my friends post info about my mini sessions on her blog (whew). She wanted to have her two precious kids photographed in Crissy Field. The little boy, Oliver, was super easy to take photos of- check out his precious smile! The little girl Shea wasn’t as cooperative but I got some cute candid shots of her.

Bryton’s probably going to be my most popular model.. You’ll be seeing him a lot through the years.. Especially if we can convince his parents to move to Austin!! Here are some more from the other day when I was in Dallas hanging with the Patronellas.

Well I had a client meeting in Dallas yesterday so of course I had to make a little trip to see how much baby Bryton has grown.

This post is a bit more personal than normal so get pumped! Or don’t, whatevs!

On May 11, Bryton Makrae Patronella came into the world with a full head of hair and the cutest little face I’ve ever seen. His parents happen to be very close friends of mine- Clint and Andea- and I’m super super excited they’re parents!

Unfortunately since I live in Austin and they live in Dallas, I couldn’t be there on the big day but David and I HAD to see the little guy ASAP so we drove up to Dallas last Wednesday.

Wow. What an amazing experience to see your friends holding a little human being they’ve created together. It’s seriously insane and such a beautiful picture of God. I absolutely loved it. I know they’re going to be incredible parents.

I got super giddy when Andea started calling us Uncle David and Aunt Paige!! Haha.. I know, I’m so lame but I just got so excited about watching Bryton grow up before my very eyes. It’s going to be incredible experience for everyone, I know.

Anyway, of course I took pictures. Bryton needs to get used to it so I figured I should start early.

Just another day in the life of a two year old.

so here’s a few shots of the kids i nanny. i just got my canon 5d two weeks ago and i needed some practice. my mom keeps telling me to start photographing kids more b/c it’s so lucrative.. haha. but it’s also pretty tough. kids don’t do what you tell them to like the lovely couples and seniors i photograph. but it was still fun and i got some precious pictures.
